The Sensory Trust promotes and implements "an inclusive approach to design and management of outdoor space, richer connections between people and place, and equality of access for all people, regardless of age, disability or background." Dirtworks PC, working with Michael Rubin Architects, is creating a state-of-the-art headquarters and series of demonstration gardens that express the Trust's mission of providing access to nature for all.

The Trust is a partner with the Eden Project. The project site was selected to integrate into the Eden Project's master plan and goals of advancing environmental awareness. The building and gardens, carefully programmed to welcome a variety of groups with special needs, are melding technology with the area's vernacular architecture and combining innovative and traditional horticultural practices. The result will establish sustainable design, building and maintenance principles that will be part of the Trust's community education program.
